The Bulgarian Red Cross carries out its activities in fulfillment of its main goal to alleviate and prevent human suffering with impartiality and neutrality, without distinction of nationality or race, sex, social status, religious beliefs or political views. It is our impartiality and neutrality that allows us to help vulnerable people in difficult situations, to be autonomous and accessible to all. In order to be able to fulfill its mission, the BRC must have the support, responsiveness and generosity of individuals and society as a whole.

Volunteering in the Bulgarian Red Cross:
- is motivated by the free will and desire of the individual, and not by the pursuit of material or financial benefits or external (social, economic or political) pressure;
- aims to benefit vulnerable people and their communities, in accordance with the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent;
- is organized by official representatives of the Bulgarian Red Cross.

How to become a volunteer of the Bulgarian Red Cross?

- I meet other BRC / BRC volunteers and participate in various activities;
- I am undergoing training in basic knowledge of the Red Cross.
