The Home for the Elderly in the town of Kardzhali provides a complex of long-term social services to persons who have reached the age for acquiring the right to a pension for length of service and age according to the Social Security Code, including those who have a reduced working capacity decision of the TEMC / NEMC.
It has been operating for 18 years and offers 30 residents not only appropriate food, clothing and qualified medical care, but also psycho-social support. The daily activities are related to the individual needs of each resident, and for this purpose individual plans are prepared, which are periodically revised and adjusted. Residents live in very good living conditions, and social contacts and various entertainment activities allow them to lead a full life.
The regional organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross - Kardzhali in partnership with the Dutch Red Cross, the Municipality of Kardzhali, local NGOs and local donors, successfully manages the home, which since 2008 is funded by the state budget.
Citizens wishing to enter the home apply by submitting documents to the Regional Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross - Kardzhali.
